What the hell have Nibris been doing this whole time? The article states they began working on the Gambryo engine a few months ago, which means they've been twiddling their thumbs for 1 1/2 years with pre-development? I call foul on the whole thing still. This is so suspect. Who takes 18 months to plan out a game before any development occurs?

Frontline decided to not help Nibris with development so that may be part of the reason it has taken so long.

In that letter Frontline never acknowledges Sadness was ever in the making. What this seems like to me is a small team of people with a lot of ambition but not enough talent and money to see it through. I could have thought up a cool game idea, filmed a live video and swung a Wiimote at a screen to simulate actions also, but no one would believe me that I could make that live video into a game now would they? That's all Nibris has produced for us thus far, live action concept video. Considering how much trouble they have even getting development started, does anyone have a pretty good suspicion that even if Sadness is released it won't be that good? These are novice developers, needing support from outside studios and now a middleware engine that can't secure a publisher. Something's telling me this isn't exactly going to be Resident Evil quality, more like Escape From Bug Island quality.
