E3 is too early to unveil this - they are better off focusing on Animal Crossing, Nintendogs (Wii) and other surprises.
Still thinking pre-Xmas, Japan only - the console upgrade will sell itself, it doesn't need a big announcement.

As to what features to include - there are several that could be included - including on-board memory, WiMax support, TV out, smaller form factor, longer battery life, more on-board software (VoIP, web browser, etc..), and much more.
