It was originally always a 1 console game, going from Nintendo to Sony, only the last game (all 3 entries ) went multiplat, so that's not that much of a loss, just going back to what it always was.
To be honest, one of the things that allowed FF13 to be so criticized was it being multiplat, so it hadn't a flag to defend it.
Exclusive games always have a different status, it can be a good thing being exclusive.

Final Fantasy 13 and 13-2 would have been garbage still and only the most blind and devout follower of a company would have changed their their opinion with it being exclusive.
