I'm up here in Sydney, and I go too the University of New South Wales, which is one of the countries Unis that has the highest concentration of Asians. As far as I can tell there is almost no serious racism. Plenty of race jokes are made, more often then not by Asians themselves. 
I myself have been pondering a move to Melbourne once I'm done with education. Australia is one of the most multicultural Western nations on the face of the earth. Every country has it's issues with racism from time to time, but we have less than most and I rarely hear of issues in Melbourne.
