I'm just kinda bummed that the original intent of the NeoGAF thread was a hard look at Microsoft's Parity Clause and how it's affected the output of the Xbox Indie Community. A great thread (was reading it last night) with constructive criticisms so that hopefully Microsoft could improve its indie development scene (as the 360 was the launch pad of the indie community last generation).

Now it's been twisted on its way to VGChartz to suit a more "list wars" approach. Which I think misses the point of the original thread completely. And of course this had led to responses that fall into a swinging pendulum. On one hand we have the "Well I don't like indies anyways!", which doesn't address *anything* the original thread brings up. And on the other side we have a "Yay go PlayStation can't wait to see the reactions lol!", which again, doesn't address *anything* the original thread brings up.

There's a few bright spots of actual discussion here, but for the most part. The thread's a wasted opportunity for reasoned and constructive discussion, and that's a damn shame.

EDIT: Please don't use this post to derail the thread into a this fanbase/that fanbase war. Let's talk about the Parity Clause and what can be done about it instead.
