You wish for what you can't have. Japanese children are only getting 3DS from their parents. Only natural that they yearn for a proper console. Hence why PS4 is before 3DS and Wii U before Vita.

Then this list right here proves that home consoles aren't dead in Japan yet. We just need to wait for all those kids to grow up and then home console sales will explode! We just have to wait a couple of years! Yay for Japan!

I don't think it's that easy. All those NEETs and Hikkikomoris will stay forever dependent on what their parents will buy for them. And there is still that old Japanese saying: "You get handheld or you get nothing"
