Best holiday in years? how many years are the talking about exactly, because you don;t have to go all that far back in history to find a holiday that was far better for Nintendo than this holiday will be.
It will certainly be a far better holiday than 2013, and probably a better holiday than 2012. But 2011 was a pretty good holiday. And at least as far as console hardware sales go I don;'t see Nintendo matching 2011. Amiibo might make a difference, but it might be a one holiday wonder unless Wii U hardware sales actually pick up, or they make Amiibo a significant peripheral for 3DS.
The article reads a bit like returning to the successes of the Wii and DS, but we all know that is not happening, ever, this generation.
