If another price cut comes next year, then even the most casual Nintendo fan (casual as a Nintendo fan--not a "casual gamer") will have no reason not to finally take the plunge. I'm not incredibly happy with my Wii U, but Zelda and Star Fox combined with everything else up to that point and a $250 price tag makes for a much easier sell.
During happier times I once thought that this would be a huge year for Nintendo after a weak start, but now it seems that 2015 could be a pretty big tipping point for the system. Even if it's not a smash hit I'm still convinced that selling solidly is at least a possibility. Needs that price cut for it to happen though.
