There is a graphical lead between gens, but it is no doubt smallers than previous gens. This is to be expected though. As games get closer and closer to photo realizm, potential gaps will close. Furthermore technology has advanced to the point where development costs play a huge role to a new consoles power. I mean what would be the point to making games if they cost so much to develope that profit becomes void?
What suprises me is that everyone knew this was gonna happen, but wanna act suprised when it does. From the very start everyone was expecting a decent (not huge) boost in visuals and more flexibility for development. Also improved AI will also be a factor when console optimization comes into play. In fact the footage of Uncharted gameplay is showing just that and is actually quite impressive for such an early stage of development.
It is human nature to always want more, but people really need to learn to just chill and enjoy the experiences these devs are working to give us, unless of course the game is released broken. In that case rage on lol.
