I loved metroid fusion but vagabond7 is right, unlike SM where you had to basically explore and figured out what to do on your own mostly, fusion was an incredibly linear game that held your hand throughout most of it.  Great game none-the-less, but Super Metroid is by far and away the best Metroid title, with the original Prime not too far off in second place.

As for Symphony of the Night, im playing it on XBLA right now and loving every minute of it, though it is pretty tough i must say.  Im currently at around 120% complete in the reverse castle, and it's definitely a masterpiece as ive been hearing for years, best use of my virtual dollars yet.

I really can't say which I think is better, yes SOTN owes alot to SM but they are both great in their own way.  Actually I may get flamed for this but I played through the lastest in the series Portrait of Ruin last year on the DS and thats my fav Castlevania game right now, even if it is basically a redux of SOTN albeit alot more expansive with more levels and powerups.  But yea, if i was left with either SM or SOTN as the only game i could play on an island, i cant say i'd complain.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
