In this scenario I would say a worldwide 2016 release, Spring/Summer for the handheld variant and holidays for the console variant. In terms of power the handheld would be somewhere right in the middle of Vita & Wii U with the ability to render Wii U like visuals on a 5 inch or so screen. The console variant would be a slight upgrade over Wii U similar to the gap between GC and Wii, the extra gap in power over the handheld variant is to allow games to run at a higher resolution/framerate (1080p/60fps vs 720p/30fps). Price would be $199.99 at launch for each variant.
Games would be what u expect out of a typical Nintendo device, strong first party support, now that all games are playable on both devices, there would never be long droughts between major first party releases. Strong Japanese 3rd party support, all Nintendo handhelds had received this so no reason to believe it will end. Child-friendly western 3rd party titles, games such as Lego/Skylanders and a bunch of games based on Disney/Nickelodean/Cartoon Network shows and Pixar/DreamWorks movies. Nintendo has been doing good with indies lately, I expect this to continue and have stronger support from them in the following years.
Another thing is Nintendo needs to get the Virtual Console back up to snuff, even better than the Wii had, I also think they should do some sort of optional subscription service for it, perhaps $50/year gets u unlimited access to the VC. This is good for Nintendo because the average 3DS/Wii U owner likely doesn't spend $50/year on the VC and this gives consumers access to 100's of games for a low yearly fee.
