@everyone, think of the whole market. You have Steam, Wow + other MMO's then you have retail sales which are low but decent. You have whole areas in the world, like Eastern Europe that are mad PC gamers. You know the Witcher came out of Poland right? These areas aren't even tracked! You guys even forgot online flash games etc.
Blizzard might end up making more money on WOW than Sony did on the PS2. Thats if they haven't already.
Doesn't matter if its front loaded, back loaded or whatever.. Its the sales rate and the quantity of revenue that counts. Hell, can anyone really be surprised when there are over a quarter billion PCs sold every year? 60 million GPU's. Nvidia was making tons of money before they had the smart idea to stick a gpu in a console. Furthermore, GPU's like the g92 and the rv670 were SOLD OUT or hard to come by for over three months before christmas last year.
