Sure some people wanted an XB1 and were waiting for a lower price.
For many they just wanted a next gen console, and more people have been picking a PS4 over XB1 all year until the recent XB1 deals. It's not just they waited for it to be cheaper, but also they changed their choice because it's cheaper.
And why I say they should regret it... because I think XB1 is not a good buy. Just my opinion after owning one and being annoyed by it's problems.
