Man what a huge drop from the SNES to the N64, but since all the JRPGs had moved to the PS1 back then...not really surprising

Losing Street Fighter when it was still multi-platform was also a big disappointment and they should've pushed for ports on the N64.

Sales of SFII were huge back then and in Japan Street Fighter II: The World Warrior even outsold Final Fantasy VI on the SFC (SNES).

 

Street Fighter II: TWW SNES sales in Japan = 2.87 million

Final Fantasy VI SNES sales in Japan = 2.55 million

Though Enix's Dragon Quest VI outsold them both at 3.2M sold on the SNES in Japan.
