There are plenty of additions they can make to the game, but I see absolutely no reason for them to make any more home console iterations. The game just doesn't need to be on a console when it can be on a handheld, at least now that handhelds are up to snuff. Sort of like how they refuse to make a console Pokemon game; they feel it's just not necessary.

I loved the one on Gamecube, because it was the first one. Then the DS one came around and I was like, "This is perfect now. This is purely better." Then I got City Folk and was completely underwhelmed. Part of that was because they barely added anything, but also because it just didn't feel right anymore on a home console. It was the same game as always, just limited to my TV now. Then New Leaf came around and once again I was just like, "Yes. Perfection again," especially with all the Street Pass functionality.

I know they probably will, but I kind of hope they don't release one for the Wii U, unless they somehow integrate mind-blowing new features that the 3DS couldn't even dream of (and that doesn't seem likely for a life sim).
