How much are you willing to pay for a digital game?

I only buy digital games for PC, so I'll talk with this in mind, but I could never pay as much for a digital game that I'd pay for a physical, retail one.

And it's not because I feel they are less valuable, but because of fear. Most of the digital games are tied to an account and a software platform like Steam or Origin. Without them you can't play those games, and that's what worries me.

What would happen if, for some reason Steam disappears? Or EA goes down and so does Origin? WIll we still be able to download our games? Will they run without Valve's/EA's servers verification?

It is because of that that I only buy digital games when they are available for a price that makes me think, "Well, at least I didn't pay much".

Two years ago, that price was below 10€, nowadays I can (and have done it) buy games for as much as 15€ but only if it's the definitive/complete/whatever-name-they-use version, but that's my max.
