Actually, my PS4 does contorl my TV and my surround sound, and my TV and surround sound remotes control my PS4. My PS4 automatically turns on my TV and Surround when I turn it on, and turns them off when I turn it off. My TV and SS controllers can control menu navigation, and Song selection in music unlimited, pause, play, fast forward, and rewind on video apps. If I am watching a movie I don't even use the DS4 as it wastes battery, and causes notifications to pop up.

Other than that, spot on. PS4 is the best console this generation, but still not as good as the OG 60GB PS3. That system is still the pinical of all in one computer/entertainment/productivity consoles.

I had to xhoose between it being the only one not controlling the tv or being the only one tbat didnt support external HDDs.  Really, its an all around great console.  The negatives for all three were purposely kinda superficial....except the Wii U but in reality, its my fav!

 

Would love to know how you set up that tv! Mine has a bluetooth remote and it works with IR so maybe i can set my TV up, too!

I just have HDMI Link enabled in the system settings. I have a Bravia though, so not sure if thats the only reason it works?
