360 always had better holydays even on its "loosing" years, so I would not get carried right away.

More competition is always good for consumers though, so go X1 =D

Exacly you have pointed out that this isn't a sudden spike leading to a comeback , but something that happens every year .

The difference this time is the NA sales lead  PS4 has accumulated from the rest of the year is far greater than anything the PS3 did and the XBone's Holiday lead margin looks like it will be smaller than the 360 versus PS3 .

If   it continues on from here in the same vain PS4 should win NA  simply by virtue of it's sales being a bit more consistent across the year without losing to many sales during holiday , having said that  it wiould be by a small margin and  nowhere near 360's NA lead.

It really boils down to the fact that you can't make a definitive statement on yearly console sales to the year ends simply because of the backended nature of those sales.

^That. We won't be able to confirm wether or not it's a constant before at least holyday 2015 or 2016.

Though even if PS4 continues to dominate Europe and RoW, and keeps even in US, devs will tend to choose ps4 and thus it will take the advantage is US.

The only case in which Xbone stays relevant in US till the end of the gen is if UK changes, X1 sales baseline in US grows AND RoW doesn't grow even bigger than it is now.
