What a bomb. There are no mentions of hardware increases, so those 35K are probably 35K of the people who already have the 3DS version and are simply fans of the series (with those few thousand people who said that they will only get the "real" version), so that explains why the numbers were close for launch comparatively. Nothing "incredible" about it.
