umm try grabbing more then I guess ...or keep juggling them with grab combos throw to the ground or in the air. Maybe switch your routine around confuse them instead of the same stuff . when I play metaknight if they keep running I keep cork screwing or tornadoing their ass to they stop.

 

That stuff doesn't work. MetaKnight just isn't able to deal with strategy.
