However, most companies use the dollar as their currency, so fluctuations in the dollar don't affect them in the way the Euro/GBP etc do.

Remember how Sony and Nintendo's profits were badly hit when the yen was so strong? It was because all their overseas sales were bringing in far less than they otherwise would have done. MS were immune to it however.
