I mean, when you have the PS4 outselling the XBO ALL MONTH on the largest gaming retailers' sites, Wal-mart and Gamestop (sometimes 2:1, sometimes maybe more), then you start to question how accurate Amazon is going to be this month. We also have confirmation from Wal-mart that they made sure to get 3x as many PS4s as they normally do. I'm sure other retailers did similar numbers, as well. Also, even though I'm sure the XBO was tearing it up at Target retail stores, the PS4 GTAV was tearing it up on their online store (if I remember correctly it reached #6 in the Top 100 for ALL electronics, before selling out), while the XBO was nowhere in their Top 100. |
I also think to add to your points, that Amazon favours Xbox slightly. In months where the PS4 confortably outsold the Xbox it didn't exactly show that in NPD. The gap was bigger than AMazon led us to believe. When is NPD out anyway? Is it the 12th?
