Other countries are adopting it. The UK did this year and I don't think they've ever had any major black Friday sales ever before. Its a great way for retailers to make even more money and profits. Afterall, all those "discounts" are kinda a scam. Retailers increase the prices a day before and then attract customers with 50% off sales. And every year people fall for all those "sales".
