I'm a chicken shit, I honestly have no real confidence in my person to person battle skills so it spares my pride to avoid online, I'm only really good enough to beat my friends who suck at games in general.

Hey don't sell yourself short.  You beat the boss battle on intense.  I haven't even done that yet... granted I haven't tried yet (darn online!) but that's still awesome.
