Eh, hack is a bit unfair. He's never done anything bad, but after Lost he's always played safe on everything. Bay and Cameron likely deserve the label "hack" much more. Abrams is about the same as Jackson; "sometimes they're pretty good, I guess." The only major director who has ever done cool things is Nolan, who has really not been on his game the last few years.
