Train wreck on 28 November 2014
As I mentioned in another thread, Nintendo's motive this gen (at least since the massive 3DS price cut in August 2011) is not about hardware expansion but rather squeezing more from their most loyal fans. Remakes and revisions to hardware (for the 3DS), Nintendo figurines in Amiibos, lack of any official consumer friendly deals this black friday all spelled, to me at least, that they are not intrested in trying to recapture any ground from the Wii/DS era.
