I am also surprised it took them so long, but perhaps their plan is building the hype for the bundles.
Well at least we can see what this does now... interesting times.
As far as sony is concerned, even if they lose Nov by a small margin, it's a win, because they will beast the rest of the year, which the PS3 did well all year but lost out massively at xmas (and lost most of the ground it had made up).
