Weak 3DS boost shows the hardware has reached its maturity, we've had every big franchise under the sun now and things are going downwards. At this point Nintendo be looking at a phone-DS hybrid for their next handheld system?

Different reasons for each. 3DS doesn't get boost because the fans of monster hunter pokemon, yokai watch and whatever else is coming out for it already have one. Its selling poorly but its sales are stagnant, that points to thier market already being saturated, it happens to all systems when they pass their prime.

If PS4 has a had baseline above 10k for the last few weeks, a significant rise over what it was selling before it will undoubtably jump even higher next year where february/march see over a dozen high profile releases and bigger games to follow sometime after. Key word being ''Decent''. Essentially i don't think we'll see it drop below 10k again once feb hits and it can achieve a 20k baseline.
