TBH Lets say I say something. Why is it my job to deliver some evidence that supports my claim? You believe me? Good for you. You dont ? Your problem. You want to know if I tell the truth go and investigate yourself. You dont care about what I say? Then ignore me. Its as easy as that.
TBH if someone tells you something he did more than was needed to enlighten you or give you something to think about etc.
I mean the "prove it" nonsense is the reason why 90% of people cant think for themselves. They want someone to do it for them. (or they accept anything as log as it is somewhat logica without considering that it might be bullshit at all) And this is a normal forum/website. Just think about how empty it would be if everyone would need to have evidence for their claims.
"X is the best game ever. I enclosed a 1000 page document as evidence" rofl :)

What a silly comparison.
Saying "X game is best ever" is subjective.
Claiming Sony servers are the same exact hardware from 2008 isn't.
So running into threads or comment sections on websites and throwing that around without any evidence to back it up is exactly why he got the reactions he did, and rightfully so.

its a silly comparison to you might not be to someone else.. And you didnt get what I said.
If YOU want to know what he is talking about why would HE take the time and look for it? He does not LOVE you so he probably does not care if you believe him or not you are a stranger that he will never have any kind of important relation with.
if he had the evidence saved on his desktop or as a browser bookmark okay but if he saw this a long time ago and it would take some work to find it again you cant expect him to waste his time just for someone elses curiosity to be satisfied.
You have several ways to reply.
#1 completely ignore him #2 Reply "Really? didnt know" and then dont do anything at all (gullible?) #3 Reply "Really? didnt know" and then try to find out whether or not he is telling the truth. (smart) #4 Reply "Really? didnt know" and then demand evidence (lazy?) #5 Reply "Nonsense" and then dont do anything at all. (stubborn? or 100% sure you are right) #6 Reply "Nonsense" and then try to find out whether or not he is telling the truth.(not as smart as #3 but still smart) #7 Reply "Nonsense" and then demand evidence (lazy?)
If one cant be bothered to look for it even tho ONE wants to know it why should he do it? Think about it.
He might have deserved that kind of reply but he also deserved all the other reply types i mentioned.

He made a claim and he was asked for proof. It isn't anyone else's job to find out if he was right, especially if he says this is something he says regularly.
As for your "ways to reply": You post how you want and I'll post how I want.
