It is a business decision to attract more customers, it has nothing to do with "limiting creativity". They are investing into fresh experiences, as said, thier new IP, Bloodborne, is coming before this.

Look at all the next gen rehashes recently; The Last of Us Remastered, Wind Waker, Sleeping Dogs, Tomb Raider, the list goes on. That's a lot of resources that would be better spent on actual new experiences.

I mean, if it floats your boat, more power to you, but I'd rather something fresh.

Did you also complain at the beginning of the last gen when the consoles got ports and slight up res games like King Kong, Burnout Revenge, Tomb Raider Legend, Gun, Need For Speed Most Wanted, Tony Hawks, Full Auto, Fight Night 3, Far Cry Instincts, Just Cause, Splinter Cell Double Agent?  That first year or so full of old gen games mixed in with a few new ones didn't do them consoles any harm did it?

I would have if I'd even been involved in gaming then, but the 6th gen was so disappointing I took a break from the medium from 2004-2009 save for 4th/5th gen games.
