There is no shortage of developers looking for work what with all the mass layoffs and studio closures. There are dozens of studios looking for contract work. CoD doesn't use much outsourcing actually, they just use multiple internal studios. Would you rather that studios layed off people because they don't have the extra work? Seems like that would be a net loss for the industry.

I doubt the work will ever dry up, with each gen games take more and more manpower. If anything, we seem short on manpower.
