I'm appalled at how hard it is to find a really good 32 TV nowadays, especially it seems in the US. 32" is my preference as well and I paid 550EUR for the best 32" model I could find late last year to get above all picture quality I could be happy with (which as always comes coupled with a host of features I don't need, though a few very nice ones as well). To get a really good 32 inch TV you have to go for a discontinued model it seems.

The new LGs are a great bang for the buck of the ones I've seen here in Europe, especially with their direct backlighting which makes for great viewing from a lot of angles.
After reading about "the lottery" in the first review of that model you posted, I would be vary.
