PS3 is selling good and at solid number.

Shipped 800k the last two quarters.... it is amazing how it is tracking yet.

Actually that's below my personal expectations, but that has a lot to do with the high price of the system at this point.

I agree with parmenides here, as long as Sony plays their card right, the PS3 can sell over 100M, but time's ticking and they have to drop the price to < $149, ideally with a final refresh @28nm RSX/22nm Cell.

PS2 -> more than 110 m consoles sold to consumers in (US+EU+JP+CA+AU). The rest came from emerging markets.

PS1 -> more than 80 m consoles sold to consumers in (US+EU+JP+CA+AU). The rest came from emerging markets.

PS3 -> nearly 70 m consoles sold to consumers in (US+EU+JP+CA+AU). It's the best selling console of its generation in the rest of the world, but needs a price cut to finish the job.

PS4 -> broke sales record in FY13, keeps selling reasonably well in FY14, but the PS2 was from another planet.

if Sony plays its cards right, PS1/PS2/PS3/PS4 can sell more than 100m.

The PS2 will remain the most popular console ever.
