Game sizes are so huge now that its difficult to go completely digital. You are forced to spend a hundred more dollars on a hard drive.

On PC though; this is hardly a problem, you can get a fast (7200RPM) 1TB drive for about 100$ or less and I've seen 3TB drives for around 150$ as well. I can easily save those sums on game purchases in a year or two since I get great prices on digital games all the time.

GOG and Steam cover all my needs for gaming now, and I actually only have a 500GB drive for games, I just have to be smart about what I install and not, having 20-30 games or more installed at all times is useless. The most annoying thing I can think of with digital only is if you have poor connections speeds; it will take a long-ass time to download many modern titles on a slow line. Luckily; I don't have any issues there either!

Digital only is not for everyone and with the PSN's average speed in my house(s), I think I'd prefer retail as well, to be honest. I only have classics on my PS3 and even those take a long time to download even on a good connection.
