Same reason they will ride the $300 price tag probably all the way to the end of the fiscal year: to get the shareholders off their backs. The shareholders want a nice, meaty profit and that's what Nintendo's aiming to give them. A bundle *might* drop in December, but they want to at least make good money on the launch and black friday first. I think their deals and pricing will become more agressive once the fiscal year ends.
