I'm not playing Super Smash Bros Wii U because I forgot to upgrade my pre-order to the bundle that included the adapter, and I missed the cut-off to pre-order for the bundle. Due to the fact that they didn't even have the standalone adapter and weren't getting any until next Friday, I just cancelled my existing preorder for the standalone game.
Currently at Wal-Mart's mercy... They say they're getting some of the game and the bundled one in on Tuesday. ._.
@Normchacho: There are bundles that include the Wii U, the game, and an amiibo (and even the adapter & GC controller if I recall correctly)
This one in particluar includes the Wii U Deluxe Set, Super Mario 3D World, and the Super Smash Bros Wii U + GC adapter & Controller bundle for $399.
