The 360 will be pulled quite a bit before the PS3 is. The 360 is still doing decently in the UK, ok in the US, but everywhere else it is basically dead. The PS3 is doing meh-ok in those two regions, but is still doing ok outside of them. As far as future sales go, the PS3 is fine. For the period of April-June '14, MS shipped 1.1M 360s AND XBOs combined. On the other hand, Sony shipped 800K PS3s (and 2.7M PS4s.) So, yea, it's obvious which one is selling more and will have the best staying power. |
Look at the legs of Ps1 and Ps2
Frist year sales after successor still 15m sales
Second year sales after successor still 10m sales
No we got:
First year 7.1m
Second year below 4.5 for sure
That's what i'm talking about.
And i'm not sure if the Ps3 is still doing okay outside of the US and UK. At least not in mainland Europe, where people prefer to buy a Ps4 for 349€ instead of 199€ - 249€ for a Ps3.
I really would like some actual sales figures for Ps3 hardware. Sadly we only got US numbers.
But as i said before. We have to wait for this quarter shipped numbers to know where this is going.
