I gave both songs a chance, and I am unimpressed with both. She might be the greatest country artist ever, but that's about it. Country is my most disliked of all musical genres, so her starting base is very low from my perspective. And I'm not much of a fan of pop, though there are at least exceptions when it comes to pop.
The main reason I even had a listen to Taylor Swift is because she's BFF's with Lorde.
