1. Microsoft is a cut throat company. They can take the hit for a risk like this for two months. The first two bundles were limited anyway.
2. Microsoft as I've said before came into the industry to take out Sony. Its the same reason they made the Zune. Any multimedia device with an OS is a threat to them that has a large marketshare.
