Hmm, here in Germany MS doesn't even have commercials for games like Forza Horizon 2, Halo: MCC or Sunset Overdrive and Sony has big ad campaigns even for games like SingStar. I would say MS fails hard in some countries because they don't even try so not really “MS throws everything they could“. Not even telling customers about your products is the opposite of trying^^
