Well, truthfully, it's very easy to underestimate the stupidity of the general public. No one really thinks, "omigod, people are going to lose their fucking minds because a Pokemon remake got a 7.8." I mean, for a rational human being, that just doesn't compute. I guess they could have gone out an gotten a Professional Pokemon Master or something, who would give it 9 points just for having Pokemon in the title.
It's sad that actual human beings have to wade through the crap of the internet but, really, it's fun for the rest of us to sit back and laugh at the idiots who feel the need to white knight-Pokemon, of all things, and protect it from wild criticism and evil 7.8 scores, not to mention the sheep who are complaining about a review that they haven't even read. That's pure gold.
