Why are reviewers being such hardasses this gen?

LBP3 has game breaking bugs and you said that didn't bother you.  Perhaps you aren't being hardass enough?

Actually I said the bugs can be patched and I'll pick up the game later on when that has already happened.

I read it...I just think you give to much leeway to the developer...and not enough to the reviewer.  I hate patches that fix things that should have been taken care of in alpha and beta testing.  Did they stop running those ads about being a game tester?  Maybe enough people aren't responding...or those that are just aren't up to snuff.  Either that or the developer knows the drill by now...they'll release a broken product and the consumer will buy it anyway because they don't know anything different.
