I doubt he's going to weigh in, with a very definitive statement, if he has no knowledge on the topic at all.

We're looking at ~460k in 4 months. When it took 8 months, a launch and a holiday period to reach ~540k. If true, the Germany baseline for PS4 has nearly doubled over the past 4 months.

Germany was one of the EU countries that had bigger supply issues... even after April it didn't have the console in stock yet and a lot of time in June and July the Amazon.de got sold out.

That is not ture. The PS4 had only noticeable supply issues until the end of March.
The Ps4 was never that hard to find since April. The April - June supply issues reports are form other (small) European countries like Finnland and Denmark.

And that's the reason, why the PS4 sold more in the first half of 2014, than launch in Germany, while the PS4 in UK sold less in the first half of 2014 compared to its launch.

250k launch in Germany
290K fist half of 2014

530k launch in UK
<470k fist half of 2014

This 460k in 3 1/2 month is only explainable by the great deals the whole time over the last 4 months and very weak competiton form Xbox One (sales wise, not price wise)
