Ok, I look it up
Super Mario Kart sold 3.8 million (on the SNES userbase in Japan)
DD is around 3.3 Million and climbing
64 was WELL over 2 million, and the N64 had a puny userbase.
Super Circuit sold 1 million on the dot, and DD was like 900k.
I am going to have to go with 2.2-2.8 million lifetime in Japan... could be more.
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
