At a time when everyone was "dumbing-down" RPGs to appeal to the masses, along came relatively unknown CDProjekt with The Witcher that showed there was still a market for core/traditional RPGs. The combat is a little awkward by modern standards, but the deep plot with its moral ambiguity and the fact that consequences can take a long time before manifesting, make it one of the best RPGs ever made. Clue for 46: Released this year, this FPS surprised me. The franchise has a rich history. Clue for 45: The voice actor for the main character is a black guy, but he plays a character who's whiter than white. |
Your #46 is Wolfenstein: The new order.
