I had to create a new PSN account when I bought a PS4, anyways. My PS3 had died years ago, and I could not for the life of me remember my email address, password, etc (even if I could remember the email address, I wouldn't have been able to remember THAT password, either). So I've had to deal with the "pains" of losing all your digital purchases and trophies (actually, I didn't care at all).

I see the PS4 has an option now to enable "real names" from Facebook, so it looks like substitutive names are already implemented.

For some of us who have very limited real lives (me), I would be devasted to lose my trophies. I'm less bothered about games I own digitally beyond those I'm currently playing or are in my queue (obviously not a real issue for you). KH took me 70 hours, FFX HD took me 100 hours and I don't regret either of them. Persona 4 Golden will end up at 130 hours

I don't want to lose that!
