What if instead of a virus it's code that causes a firmware update that bricks the console?

 here is the beauty of the PS3, the CELL will just reformat the HDD and all you have to do is redownload/install your games.  Gasp, Sony has a better system. *SHOCK!*

I'm talking about the system's firmware being altered or something else that might not be easy to fix.
