| Dulfite said: I have a feeling that the developers will release "new content" as a prelude to Zelda U RIGHT before that game launches (when the hype is through the ceiling) in order to get some crazy last minute sales of their game before it is no longer the newest Zelda game on the Wii U. I could easily see this game reaching 1mil LTD if not 1.2mil. Absolutely a success for the type of game it is! |
Here's my prediction: at E3 2015, they'll have the big unveil of Zelda U. After the unveil, they'll then say something along the lines of "Zelda U will release in November 2015. However, we have a surprise for our fans that will be made available immediately after our presentation ends. Please watch..."
And then, it'll jump to a video that starts off with some Hyrule Warriors content we've already seen... and then new content will be shown off, all of it being references to Zelda U. Free DLC in the form of a few new characters from Zelda U, plus Zelda U costumes for the relevant characters, a new weapon for Link inspired by the Zelda U gameplay, and a new location in the game designed to emulate a location seen in the Zelda U trailer.
Note that it would be free DLC, since the whole idea is to utilise the hype from E3 to sell HW, rather than to sell more DLC to the people who already have HW.
I could honestly see Hyrule Warriors selling 200-300k in the next few weeks alone. And since I'm expecting it to break the 1 million mark by April, that means I'm expecting 1.2 million well before Zelda U releases (assuming Nintendo does actually do as I just predicted).
