Not saying i think 3ds will be up especially 50%, but npd last month (i might be wrong, off memory) had reported 3ds sales jumped up huge that final week when SSB released, which would be 2 days off of Sept NPD. I think 3ds had over 100k last month right?

91k to 140k. Given it's a 5 week month if it maintaned August's weekly average it'd have done 114k. So a 26k rise, wouldn't say that's huge ... of course the average may have gone down but it generally doesn't in September.

Though Aug was a 4 week month and Sept a 5 week month, 3ds jumped 55% Month over Month. (91k⇒140k) (which you did say)

Only game to come out to do that was SSB and that came out in the last 2 days for Sept NPD. August avg 22.7k a week, so if Sept avg about the same (lets say 20k per week) intill the final week, it should be over 60k on Smash launch week. I can see Oct first week or 2 being high for 3ds :)

I think its more like a 40k-42k jump then a 26k one!

Everything jumps higher in September, because of the extra week (not putting it soley on that) but you need to look at weekly averages as well to gage the situation.

Like I said, September weekly average is higher even for systems with no new software, not sure why 3DS would drop to 20k a week, what if it actually rose to 25k? That's 40k Smash week, a 15k boost.

Either scenario is possible but I just don't think 3DS would have gained enough on top of that boost it already got.

I'm guessing you're thinking of the May > June WiiU figures from MKWiiU. Problem is 3DS has never shown anything like that before.
