I postponed Guacamelee on PS3 and when I picked it up again, I had forgotten half the controls and the enemy colour shield things. I'd recommend getting through it while you still know the controls inside out because that really helps.

btw does anyone know if the Resogun local co-op trophy can be unlocked in shareplay? About to start the game and that seems like the most difficult trophy based on rarity.

Ehh maybe...I'll give it a shot.

I'm burned out as fuck on the game though. Took me 11 hours to 100% the easy mode. Shame didn't check the trophy guide before, would have known about the cheat code to unlock hard mode from the get go.
